I MISS OROMIA
I MISS OROMIA
I Miss Oromia was born of a unique relationship
between Marion Poizeau and some Ethiopian refugees, who came
from Calais, while she had the responsibility to teach them French in 2018.
This relationship resulted into a burning desire to tell
the heartbreaking stories of all these men and women forced to
flee their country.
Together with the Leader of the group, Marion Poizeau produced
I Miss Oromia.

I Miss Oromia is about Abdi who is a political refugee
from Ethiopia. He developed a strong friendship with Marion
Poizeau with whom he shared the story of his journey and
family. A heartfelt friendship, propelling Marion Poizeau
to further travel to Ethiopia, to meet with Abdi's family.
This visit to Ethiopia was Unique and Emotional, especially to
Abdi's mum who hasn't seen nor gotten any news about his son
for the past 7 yeas since he fled from Ethiopia.
She got her hope revived to see her son after many years.
